About the Challenge

93% of all funds raised by European VC-backed companies went to all-male founding teams in 2018 (source: The underrepresentation of women in tech has to change. Since 2017, Unbound has been boosting female representation and inspiring women in tech globally.

Five leading female entrepreneurs will take to the Main Stage and pitch their business to a panel of smart investors, industry-leading innovators and serial entrepreneurs. Do you have what it takes to be one of them?

The Benefits

  • Pitch on the Main Stage to an audience of industry-leading innovators and smart investors.

  • Female Founders will join the Unbound50 and be featured on the Unbound website and in the festival brochure.

  • Female Founders companies will receive a 1m x 1m booth to exhibit (worth £750).

  • Female Founders companies receive 4 free tickets to Unbound London (worth £450 per ticket).

  • Female Founders will be invited to join the Unbound50 global network and be kept up to date on future opportunities.

How We Pick Them

  • The business must be founded by at least one female who will pitch.

  • The business must be looking to raise investment.

  • The team has a clear ability to deliver (market experience, technical ability, etc.) 

  • The market problem is compelling while demonstrating a clear market opportunity 

  • Evidence of traction indicators, whether financial or other (e.g. subscribers, waiting list, letters of interest etc.) 

  • Indicates a considered business model 

  • Suggests a unique idea with a clear value proposition
