The VR and AR market is estimated to grow to over £116bn by 2020 and will transform how consumers interact with brands, promising to disrupt the consumer tech market. While VR and AR tech captures the attention of the experience-centric demographic that value engagement with products, it is still not completely mainstream. We assess what's needed for the widespread adoption of immersive tech, assessing strategies to ensure it is effectively monetised and to take it from a gimmick to a powerful and impactful tool.
