Head of Product, Treatwell

Seb is the Head of Product for Treatwell, Europe’s biggest app and online marketplace for booking hair and beauty appointments. He joined the company four years ago and has since been the driving force behind launching the platform into 11 countries across Europe. In his role he’s in charge of defining the strategic vision and delivery of the customer propositions across the iOS, Android and web marketplace products. His team are trying to digitise and simplify a very traditional phone, pen and paper industry. Being the only player in the market across Europe brings its own challenges for Treatwell: there is no boiler plate to copy and no handbook to consult. As a result Seb and his team are frequently having to work with Insight teams to hunt down and identify consumer problems to solve, as they’re not always abundantly obvious. Previously he was the Head of Product for Ticketmaster’s ticket re-selling marketplaces across Europe and Oceania. With over 7 years of marketplace experience he understands the innovation challenges needed to balance customer and supplier needs, to keep a marketplace in equilibrium and leave all users feeling delighted
