The Cities of the Future startup showcase highlighted a range of cutting edge innovations, exploring key trends in the future of Connectivity, Smart Infrastructure, Smart Mobility, Smart Governance, Sustainability and Urban Planning.
Startups were selected to showcase their company based on the following criteria:
VISION
Bold, creative ideas that address urgent issues facing cities

IMPACT
The solution has a strong likelihood of improving the lives of citizens in a sustainable manner
​
DEVELOPMENT
Demonstrated support from key stakeholders such as investors, municipal customers
​
SCALABILITY
Startups must have potential to deploy their solution to similar problems faced by other cities
The Urban Innovation Champion Award
The Urban Innovation Champion Award aims to recognise the 16 most innovative startups in ASEAN. These are growth companies using innovative technologies to improve the future of city development.
Founders will be invited to present their company's story at the intimate, invite-only event, in front of a host of senior leaders. There will be a plethora of networking opportunities with senior decision leaders as well as an invitation to attend the Awards Ceremony.
