Damien Wong is the Vice President and General Manager for the SEATH region at Red Hat. In this current role, he is responsible for the overall business management of the Southeast Asia, Taiwan and Hong Kong region.
With a career spanning over 22 years, Damien has held leadership roles in companies like Hewlett-Packard, Accenture and META Group.
Before joining Red Hat, Damien was the General Manager of Southeast Asia at HP Software. He was also the Director for Service Portfolio Management in HP Software for Asia Pacific & Japan. Before Mercury's acquisition by HP, Damien was the Director for Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) Software Sales at Mercury across Southeast Asia. He was responsible for establishing the fledgling PPM Software business unit, personally driving key PPM projects in major customer accounts in the region.
Prior to HP, Damien was Senior Vice President for Strategic Management at MediaCorp. In addition, he headed research firm META Group in Singapore as Vice President and General Manager before Gartner acquired the company.
His extensive I.T. industry experience also includes technical and management positions for various organizations, such as Institute for Infocomm Research (Singapore), Firium Solutions, and Accenture.
