Jeremy Wagstaff has been a print, radio and wire journalist in Asia for more than 30 years, working as staff correspondent, columnist and editor for the BBC, Wall Street Journal, Far Eastern Economic Review and Reuters. Since 2000 he has specialised in technology, creating the influential Loose Wire column for the Journal, before returning to Reuters as their chief technology correspondent in Asia. He has covered wars, uprisings and rapid social change in most Asian countries, and after stints in Bangkok, Hong Kong and Jakarta has now been based in Singapore. He is a familiar voice to BBC World Service listeners, where he has recorded a weekly commentary spot since 2004.
