Mahdi Shariff is the Chief Strategy Officer in Sunteng, a leading big data and advertising technology company and is one of the largest Demand Side Platforms (DSPs) in China. Mahdi was awarded Forbes Asia’s “30 Under 30” and is a passionate connector across the global startup ecosystem.
Mahdi’s prior experience was in investment banking in London (UK), focusing on mergers & acquisitions in the Technology, Media and Telecoms (TMT) sector, with a specialism in advertising technology. Deals included $58m investment into a leading AR company, and strategic investments and evaluation for major media clients like ITV.
He is also a UK Angel investor and previously lead UK TMT companies into EY’s Entrepreneur of the Year Program, including the early identification of UK’s unicorns such as Transferwise and Farfetch.
