The Korea Advantage

ICT Infrastructure

South Korea is the world’s most connected country, with 95% of the country covered by Wi-Fi, the fastest average Internet connection in the world, and the highest number of broadband services per capita.

Major Korean Companies

In recent years, a great number of major Korean companies (Samsung, LG, Hyundai Motors, KT, Kakao, Naver, CJ, SK, etc.) has expressed their interest in collaborating with foreign companies.

Strong Government Support

President Moon wants to deliver reforms that are significant for job creation and the startup ecosystem, and has pledged to spend US$412 million on startups and venture businesses alone.

A study has shown that 4 in 10 Koreans see themselves as early adopters. Early-adoption culture has facilitated the rise of Korean conglomerates to always provide the latest cutting-edge technology.

Thriving Startup Ecosystem

Along with the Korean government’s recent movement to support the startup ecosystem, Korea has also been attracting many global investors, accelerators, and incubators.

Strategic Location

South Korea is conveniently located in the Eastern Asian region between China and Japan, with Hong Kong and Taiwan to the south.

Soft Power

K-culture has been garnering interest throughout recent years and has increased Korea’s influence and prominence in the world stage.
